Week Five – new campers arrive

It’s the third and final two-week camp. Campers arrived and took time to unpack and settle into their accommodations before playing some games, while Greg got the fire ready. The group then settled in around the campfire. Monday’s rain kept campers inside for the morning so it was off to the gym for some games before setting up for some indoor rock climbing lead by Michael. After lunch there was time for some flag football, then campers went to the pool for some swimming. After the swim campers played airsoft before heading back for dinner. Campers did some yoga while staff wrestled with a few technical difficulties with the karaoke. Then it was time for a sing song!

On Tuesday campers headed out for a farm visit to see goats and horses, then it was hiking time at Beamers Falls. After the hike campers returned for some swim/gym time and a little volleyball. After dinner campers were instructed on how to use the pellet guns and did a little target practice. The campfire was cut short as everything was still wet from the previous rain.

On Wednesday the day started with games in the gym, then campers visited a dairy farm. On their return they cooled off in the swimming pool. Seven campers wanted to try climbing the rappel tower, then it was time to get crafty with some tie-dying.

Thursday started with some watery revenge for the ‘air horn’ prank the girls had played the previous day. After breakfast everyone played in the gym before packing for the picnic/trip to Murnam beach. Campers swam and played at the beach staying there for lunch. On return campers got suited up for an epic game of airsoft. Campers then headed to the gym for some indoor rock climbing, then dinner and another campfire.

Friday saw campers playing a variety of games in the gym before battling it out with blindfold noodle wars! Then it was back to one of the camp favourites – the rappel tower, for some outdoor climbing. After that campers suited up for a few games of airsoft before cooling off in the swimming pool. After lunch it was time for some target practice, followed by ice cream sundaes for everyone!
