Last Week of NAC 2022

It is absolutely unfathomable to staff and campers alike, how camp is nearly finished! What a summer we have had. I think it is safe to say that every camper, and camp counsellor has tried something new, found a new hobby, made a new friend, or all three! This last week has been one for the books. Some activities that took place included our biweekly canoe trip lead by our team leader Michael. The campers learned the definition of hard work as they weaved through the blockades of grass, rocks, and logs found in the Wellandport River. They returned from the trip satisfied in what they accomplished, and as ravenous as bears to eat the evenings meal!

Another highlight, was a surprise visit we received from the local fire department. They came to teach the campers about safety, and allowed them to try on gear and spray the fire hose. Our camp counsellors were equally thrilled at the opportunity and a great time was had by all.

The campers were also taught how to train cross fit style with our team lead Greg Segui. They were bussed to the local crossfit gym and explored the different activities they can do to keep themselves healthy and strong! There was never a dull moment. They participated in on campus fun including archery, rappel, airsoft, and team building, as well as off campus adventures such as beach trips, hiking, and our camp favorite, Treetop Trekking!

We want to wish everyone a spectacular school year, and rather than say goodbye, we’ll say, see you next year!
