Travel
Where is the Camp?
We are located in Niagara. About an hour from the US border and similarly, an hour from the GTA. Our address is 6727 South Chippewa Road, Wellandport ON L0R 2J0
Can you pick up campers from airports?
We are located approximately 90 minutes from Toronto International Airport. We offer a collection and a drop-off for campers from the airport. There is an additional charge of $300 for drop-off at the end of the camp. Please ensure to include this requirement and the travel details as part of your application process.
When should I get there?
If you are attending the day camp, you should look to arrive between 0800-0830hrs. You will have time for breakfast and be able to attend the meeting discussing the day’s activities. Your day will finish after dinner at 1830hrs.
For those attending the residential camp, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 1600hrs on your arrival day (Sunday) and that you make travel plans to be collected no later than 1000hrs on the departure day (Saturday). The dates of the camps can be found on the home page.
Finance
How much do your camps cost?
Niagara Adventure Camp has several programs and each program is priced based on our staffing and activity costs. Details of cost can be found on our main page.
What is your refund policy?
We will be happy to refund you up until 10 days before your camp session starts, for any reason. We can either give you tuition credit for next summer or a cash refund. In order to provide the best experience possible, our attendance numbers are kept small. Because of this, if you are cancelling between 10-1 days of the planned start date, you will only be refunded 50% of your fees as it is highly unlikely that within this timeframe we will be able to fill this vacancy.
Can I just pay a deposit?
Yes. That will be an option when you register along with other payment options.
What if I need to switch to a different week?
We can easily make switches between weeks as long as the week you are switching to is not full. Please email us if you have any questions or wish to change your booking.
Medical
What if my child needs medicine during camp?
We have a registered nurse on call. In addition, our staff are trained in First Aid and in the safe & responsible administration of prescription medication. All medicine must be in the original prescription containers, with instructions in English. These will be handed to staff by parents during the arrival process. Please don’t hesitate to call if you have more questions.
What if a camper gets sick?
Our staff hold valid first aid certificates. In addition, we have on-site nursing support to provide care and attention to those campers requiring more assistance. In the event of a camper becoming too ill to continue a camp, the camper will return home and will receive pro-rated credit for a future camp.
Equipment and Communications
Is my child allowed to bring a cellphone?
At NAC our focus is getting children outdoors, so we do not encourage cellphone use. Our cellphone policy states that phones are only to be used during our break hours to contact family or friends back home. Upon arrival, phones will be placed in our ‘phone bin,’ and only be removed during our ‘phone time’ nightly.

Miscellaneous
Can Boys and Girls Attend?
Yes! Niagara Adventure camp is opening it’s doors to all campers of all genders!
What kind of supervision will my child receive?
We offer 24-hour supervision with generous staff to camper ratios. Our staff are highly trained professionals and many work year-round at Robert Land Academy. We know kids, and we know how to keep them comfortable and safe!
Can I attend for just one day or the odd day here and there?
Yes you can. Please use the online form to select your chosen dates.
Can my children go to camp together?
Yes! This is one of the reasons we decided to go co-ed. It makes it so much easier, and less worrisome for families to be able to send siblings to camp together!
Can my child stay with their friends?
We will always try to accommodate the requests of our campers, and would ask that you speak to us in advance if you have any specific requirements.
Does my child need to wear a mask?
Not at this time, however, the camp will follow all guidelines from public health and ensure all protocols are being followed to maximize health and safety. If your child would feel more comfortable wearing a mask, they are more than welcome to do so.
Is there laundry?
Yes. Those campers on our residential camps may use our laundry service free of charge. We ask all residential campers to have a clearly labelled laundry bag. Time in the program will be made available for laundry. We do not accept any responsibility for any damage, or loss of personal effects if campers are making use of our laundry facilities. We do ask that parents do not pack any clothing items of high value.
What do you do when it rains?
Well, we get wet. Light showers or a small amount of rain, will not stop us from undertaking our activities. The health and safety of our campers is always our primary concern. In the event of more severe weather, we will make use of our large gymnasium and numerous indoor areas in order to ensure our campers have a full and enjoyable day.
Can we pick the activities?
Camp staff plan all activities in advance. To that end, we encourage all our campers to get fully involved in the activities that are provided each day. For those campers staying longer, there may be the opportunity to focus more on a particular activity. These options will be discussed during the morning briefings. That being said, you can choose between a standard and excursion day camp option which does offer some choice in activity!
What time does the day camp start and finish?
The standard hours are 0800-1830 each day. Please add extra comments in the sign up form if you need greater flexibility with the day camp timings.
What if my child gets homesick?
This is natural. We are aware that not every child is ready to take the jump to an overnight camp. If this is your child, and overnight camp is too much, we can always arrange something more accommodating for them by utilizing our day programs!
